Snow In April?
It was pretty chilly down here in Devon last week, we had hail and then snow which the wind then blew into some beautiful sculptural shapes. Still better than April showers I suppose!
Now the sun has returned I'm coming to London on Monday and Tuesday next week, my first visit since March 12th, 2020. I'm bracing myself for overstimulation now retail has reopened and the bars of Soho beckon... I'll report back next week on how it all went. If you happen to be in town let me know and we'll arrange a coffee outside one of my favorite restaurants on Jermyn Street.
In the meantime, we've two amazing speakers lined up for you. Firstly on Wednesday 21st the 3x Olympian Dr. Cath Bishop talking about "The Long Win" followed by Ian Windle, CEO of Vistage on the 28th on "The Leadership Map". Check them out below and join them in conversation with fellow entrepreneurs and business owners looking to grow and scale.

April 21st: Cath Bishop on “The Long Win: The Search for a better way to Succeed”
Our Guest on Episode 36 of Business Breakfast TV is 3x Olympian Dr. Cath Bishop.
Dr. Cath Bishop is a three-time Olympian, World Champion, and Olympic silver medalist in rowing. In her career as a British diplomat, Cath specialised in stabilisation policy for conflict-affected parts of the world.
In business, Cath acts as a coach and consultant, advising on team and leadership development and cultural change, and teaches on Executive Education programmes at the Judge Business School, Cambridge University. Her book ‘The Long Win’ was listed in the FT’s Top 10 Business Books of 2020.
Cath’s book ‘The Long Win’ examines our obsession with winning and draws on her personal experience of high performance, high-pressure environments from Olympic sport to warzone diplomacy to boardrooms to trace how the idea of winning has become a defining concept across business, sport, education, and politics.
But as it has become increasingly narrow, our definition of winning is holding us back rather than allowing us to explore our potential. Faced with the complex challenges and opportunities of the 21st century, she offers a new, broader approach – The Long Win – based on Clarity of purpose, a Constant learning mindset, and the prioritisation of human Connections in everything that we do.

Ian is an award-winning Leadership Speaker, Executive Coach, and Team Builder. Leadership is complicated. How do you become a great leader? Don’t leave it to chance.

The talk (and the book behind the talk) is brought to life through stories based on Ian’s knowledge and experience of working first-hand with CEOs of many businesses, both large and small, private and public, national and international. Ian is a pragmatist, not a theorist. The Leadership Map will bring clarity to your thinking and provide you with models, tools, and techniques that will allow you to immediately put your ideas into action.
